What is CBD?

CBD is a phytocannabinoid that’s produced by exposing the naturally occurring cannabinoid acid CBDA to heat over an extended period of time. CBD and all other phytocannabinoids and cannabinoids alike are able to have an effect on our bodies due to the presence of our endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system helps the body to maintain a state of homeostasis, which in its simplest form is best understood as a state of balance.

Can CBD reduce stress and anxiety?

According to a study published in the US National Library of Medicine preclinical evidence conclusively demonstrates that CBD has the ability to reduce symptoms associated with multiple disorders. Some of the disorders include PTSD, GAD, PD, OCD, and SAD. In order to see a noticeable reduction in symptoms, it’s recommended to use a CBD product that contains between 300 to 600mg of CBD. It’s also recommended to use CBD consistently in order to see a noticeable difference.

Another study published states that CBD appears to be better tolerated than routine psychiatric medications and that there’s no evidence of safety issues that would limit future studies about it. They also state that CBD is a promising tool for reducing anxiety.
